Lifetimes and journeys captured faithfully and recognisably in the voice of the subjects who live them. Narrative pages constructed in evocative style, set amongst photographs and illustrations of the time, and presented in luxurious books, handmade to suit the heritage and legacies they record.

Whatever the inspiration, CHAPTERVILLE will carefully craft a life story into narrative form, set beautifully amongst the reminiscent images of the day, capturing the journey as lived and told by the subject. The people, the places, the memories, the key decisions and the pivotal moments are collected and distilled into one remarkable volume; a possession cherished today and by the generations that follow.

PROJECT

Project assignments track the design and build story from conception to completion as they happen. A proposition to tell the story of visions fulfilled over weeks, months, sometimes years. From foundations and charities to real estate, brand builds, and marine commissions. A faithful and substantial record preserving the story of major projects, presented in illustrated book form as single or multiple volumes.

PROCESS

The CHAPTERVILLE process is like no other. We don’t produce pale, point-to-point chronologies like the minutes of a lifetime knitted together with singular skill, but rather a personal in-depth narrative, capturing the tone and character of the subject as recognisable to the reader. Not a functionary service but a meaningful one. We invest in our subjects from the very first discussion, and that approach remains throughout the engagement from scope and curation through interviews, drafts, presentation and final delivery.

PRESENTATION

The curation of materials in element form is followed by the design and manufacture of our unique finished products. The expertise of our typographers and the skilled artisans in our London book bindery are employed to set and handcraft each single edition volume using the finest materials. From a modern and contemporary style to a more traditional finish, a choice of materials and details will ensure each book is perfectly composed to present and protect the stories they hold.
